I was excited to discuss a trend I saw, de-influencing, today. Showed a definition ⏰, an anti-haul ⏰, & we read a curr article, answered & wrote ?s before a seminar 🗣️ I asked the most honest student what he’d rate the lesson He said a 6 💀☠️Thx for keeping me on my toes

With roughly 75% of our nation’s teachers being women, we must be honest about lifting the profession by providing them with agency, better working conditions, and a competitive salary. Show them the respect they deserve. #WomensHistoryMonth

What if we had public school facilities that were well-maintained & renovated in a timely way? Just imagine that. This is something that would truly change public education here. Because how you treat buildings says a lot about how you treat the people who use them.

If you’re wondering what PD is worth your time, I’d say anything taught by Jessica is a good choice. I especially like how she incorporates best practices so you feel engaged the entire time.

Loving teaching ELA for Summer Learning Hub Kapolei High School as we’re reading & analyzing “A Whole Foods in Hawai‘i” by Craig Santos Perez. It’s an great poem for grades 10-12 as students are somewhat familiar w concepts of colonization, gentrification, & dramatic monologue.

I named the writing groups in my hs summer school class after KPop groups. Now when I ask, which activity did you choose? They say, um the Riize one, or oh, the Enhypen one, or Say the Name Seventeen. It’s so precious 😭
