/ Brooklyn Public Library built a voice assistant for non-English speakers. It pulls from their catalog + events in real time, helping patrons navigate services without needing to request a human translator.

/ Welcome to Chinatown built two things: → A field app for volunteers to update small biz data → A GPT tool that slashed outreach time from 81 days to 13 Big impact for a 4-person team serving 1,300+ businesses.

/ An ID/DD support org integrated a GPT chatbot into Microsoft Teams. It helps caregivers understand individual needs — diet, communication style, favorite music — by summarizing care plans in natural language. Care gets more human, not less.

/ A teacher training org used GPT to decode certification rules across states. What was once buried in legalese is now a searchable, conversational assistant for both staff and (eventually) students.

/ What made this night awesome: these teams didn’t start with AI expertise. They used a simple framework (POP-IT: Problem, Output, Prompt, Input, Test) and built from real need. h/t to Bryan Lozano Bethany Crystal and everyone who makes this cool initiative happen.
