We’re kicking off our Final #TechRevolution Network Event! We have many partners here at the Civic in Barnsley. We’ll be reflecting on the brilliant work we’ve all achieved in the past decade or so.

We’ve had some great insight to the Journey of the Good Practise in Barnsley, starting in 2007, seeing the growth and learning of EnterprisingBarnsley and Barnsley DMC and Barnsley’s story with URBACT

We’ve heard about the politely support for Barnsley, and how there was a positive attitude to risk from getting involved in the Tech town project. #TechRevolution

It’s so good to see our DMC team contributing to the TechRevolution Final Network Event at the Civic this morning. The journey of the DMC from 2007 is a key aspect of the project, leading up to what the DMC is today! #TechRevolution

We’re so pleased to have Eric from Schiedam here with us! They were a partner in the first wave of #TechRevolution so to hear their reflections and where they are today is brilliant.

We’re now going to hear from all our city partners. Rzeszow are up first who have taken the DMC model into their Urban Lab and have some fantastic expansion plans moving forward. #TechRevolution

The Croatia top gives it away, but up next we have our Novska team, talking us through their #TechRevolution journey, and their plans for an exciting gaming centre. They have also developed NORA, an enterprising service to support entrepreneurs.

Alytus are up next, telling us their story. After the very first meeting, they set up plans for their One Stop Shop for business support, and began plans to think about their own version of the DMC which they hope to have ready in two years time. 👏🏻

Our final partner is Roeselare! Their key takeaway from the project is all about the people that have developed the success of the DMC. They identified the problems, and discovered the need to bring their isolated networks together, to share ideas and grow. 🤝

Really interesting insight from Alison Partridge on where does tech ecosystem well. The learning gathered from TechRevolution has allowed us to see places like Tallinn in Estonia, as well as Tampere in Finland, where the system is thriving.
