A recent approach for studying pangolin behavior that has shown success is the use of accelerometers to collect and quantify data, as depicted in the below image. (1/3)

Validated by Jessica Harvey-Carroll, Daire Carroll, Cara-Marie Trivella, and Ellen Connelly, this method achieved an 85% accuracy rate in classifying ground pangolin (Smutsia temminckii) behaviors, providing invaluable information about their ecology and management. (2/3)
