Lightening strikes, fireworks, careless campers or arson, it doesn’t really matter. Wildland Firefighters are out there getting after it fighting forest fires. My hats off to these brave men and women!

Proud of my Hotshot✅ FYI- Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC), is a team of 20-22 wildland firefighters that respond to large, high-priority fires. They are assigned to work the most challenging parts of the fire and are considered strategic and tactical wildland fire experts.

Quite possibly the coolest thing I’ve seen this year…U.S. Navy Fighter Squadron 34’s (VF34) refrigerator they used while fighting across the pacific during WWII There is shrapnel damage from a kamikaze strike on the side…wow As seen at the National Naval Aviation Museum

Here’s saluting the tankers & mechanics who keep these magnificent beasts moving/shooting/communicating… Memories from DEC 2016, Republic of Korea. I don’t remember how cold & wet it was…I just remember the AWESOME soldiers I served with.

Apparently my first train was “too war-like” Behold a kinder, gentler train w/gold tank, silver chopper, presents, and a cozy troop car. Remember kids, Santa is a Cavalry Scout & believes in Air-Ground Integration. He also screams “Death from Above!” over North Carolina.

Opinion: Let tanks do tank stuff & Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV) do their thing. Not a fan of AT missiles packed into IFV’s w/infantry💥We need air defense at the company level. Where’s the new Self Propelled Artillery? Oh, an IFV the size of a Garbage Truck is a BAD IDEA.

Time for a “palate cleanser”😀 From the Way-Back machine: me & SPC Crawford at NTC 1985 Still in awe of the great Observer/Controllers who trained us. Super hard…but super professional. Just thinking about this rotation makes me want to take a nap😀

Shouldn’t have to say this but those are TRACKS not wheels. Also, w/BUSK you can defeat most RPG & some ATGM. In terms of lethality how about painting them green? The Bradley is old- but a solid platform for large scale combat. Can’t wait to see the next Gen Fighting Vehicle✅

The ONLY drawback to napping with these two is that they’re on autopilot with respect to doorbells & Amazon deliveries. Consider the one on the left “AIM-9 Sidewinder” and the one on the right, “AIM-54 Phoenix” They NEVER miss an opportunity to launch. 😀

Was fortunate to attend a ceremony with soldiers of the “Commander in Chief’s Guard” (A Company, 4th BN, 3d Infantry Regiment, “The Old Guard”)🇺🇸 It’s like going back in time when you are surrounded by these young infantrymen in their revolutionary war uniforms.
