I'm on site early for the annual #Chattri #memorial event on South Downs above Brighton & Hove City Council . If you haven't visited, it's well worth it #wewillrememberthem it's a fascinating & such important monument Royal British Legion

In a moving ceremony on the South Downs South Downs National Park, Davinder Singh Dhillon DL OBE, Chair of the Chattri Memorial Group, led tributes to the Undivided Indian Army on the 75th annual Chattri Memorial Service. I was privileged to lay a wreath on behalf of the Sikh Pioneers & Sikh Light

Personal thanks to Ant Metcalfe and the Royal British Legion whose unwavering support has ensured that this annual service has now grown leaps and bounds such that we are now 600+ strong from across the UK spilling over the South Downs.

On behalf of Khalsa Jatha British Isles, est. 1908, KhalsaJatha, we laid a wreath at the Chattri Memorial to honour the memory of both those from our Gurdwara & all soldiers who bravely fought in WW1. Their sacrifice for freedom lives on. Tej Pal Singh Ralmill Ramblings of a Sikh

Yes, it's a great initiative from Commonwealth War Graves. I've uploaded the personal stories of 2 of my late mums brothers who both fell in #ww2 Cecil and Teddy Layton. Cecil was with Green Howard's & Teddy RAMC. If you've got a family story to share & remember do have a look #wewillrememberthem

It was fantastic to work with Sarah Nathaniel from Commonwealth War Graves at the Chattri Memorial Service, Brighton. Sub-Maj Balwant Singh led the 23rd Sikh Pioneers to the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902. Why was he killed by his own Sepoy in WW1? To find out more, click below. Please
