Based on our evaluation of Early Talk Boost, Laying the foundations for Literacy is now available in the autumn edition of Literacy News tinyurl.com/ypnhjatt Dr Suzanne Egan Dr Jennifer Pope @LittleBLaverty ETB is a now core element of the Equal Start Programme @dcediy

We are looking forward to tuning into TonightVMTV for the #GE24 debate on #EarlyYears and #SchoolAgeCare. We hope to hear concrete plans about how the Parties will address this vital public good for children in the next Programme for Government. 🧵

TonightVMTV We've heard proposals about reducing fees for parents & adding much needed capacity. Without a stable & valued workforce these proposals just won't be feasible. ❌ There's been some significant progress for staff with a new wage-setting order & a workforce development plan ✔️

TonightVMTV More is needed though, so we are calling on the next government to guarantee pay parity between #EarlyYears and #SchoolAgeCare graduates and their equivalents in primary education. This will value staff properly, help the future of settings and underpin #QualityForChildren
