Oh, #Tannat ... why do we love thee? 1. Super high tannins and Procyanidins. 2. It grows VERY well in #Texas and makes amazing #TXwine. 3. Incredible complex flavors. 4. It gets better with age.

#txwine Since #Dolcetto seems to be a theme tonight, I'll open the Cuvee 1853 from Pedernales Cellars - 70% Dolcetto with Merlot and #Teroldego making up the balance. Beautiful nose of raspberry, plum, and thyme with tea and cherry on the palate.

It's one of if not THE BEST Texas Tannat vintage we have made. IMHO
