In 2019, Thaidene Nëné set a new precedent for decolonized conservation funding with a $30-million trust to support Indigenous governance. The TDN Fund protects that initial investment and is managed by Łutsël K’é Dene First Nation: nature.ly/3RAOwkL

Alongside Thaidene Nëné Land Guardians, the newest SIMBA ice sensor (aka “Pumbaa”) has been installed near Etthen Island, ~70 km from Łutsël Kʼé, NT. A very scenic ride through the East Arm of Great Slave Lake.
