Lunchtime naps in the middle of a whole day shoot. Not easy doing this in 40°C heat, but we both understand the need and urgency for this job. 📸 Macdonald Gaorakwe #OkavangoDelta #Okavango #nkashi #Etsha #storytelling #NatGeoExplorer #Botswana 🇧🇼

Why do people live here? In all my travels I always try to find answers to this question. #WhydoPeopleLiveHere #Maun #Botswana 🇧🇼

Sunrise in June versus December. In exactly three weeks time on December 21, the sunrise will reach its farthest south point and start moving north. #sunrise #CharlieRocks #Morwa #Botswana 🇧🇼

#WhydoPeopleLiveHere So while re isitse ngwetsi ko Bonwapitse, I went on a little tour of #Mmutlane because from what I saw on the map it looked like a beautiful village. It is a picturesque village nestled inside the rocky hills. It also has a beautiful entrance #Botswana 🇧🇼

After many unsuccessful attempts I finally photographed one of the #SpottedEagleOwls that usually visit us this time of the year. With its fierce yellow eyes, large size, & a booming call that sounds like a soft bark, no wonder some of my people are scared of them. #owl #morubisi

At Tubu, one of the most scenic villages in the Okavango, I interviewed Mavona Sammeperwa. So, at the end of our interview, he brought out his musical instrument Seworoworo (mouthbow) and recited a melancholic piece in Seyei. #LegendsOfTheOkavango #Tubu #InsideNatGeo #Botswana
