Meet Chick Nugget! This little chick snuck into a lunchbox and went on a surprise field trip. After a big evening of adventure, Chick Nugget was safely returned back with the other chicks. What a journey for a 2-day-old! Next time, stay in the brooder, buddy!

An old wise man once told me: If you can look in your closet, your driveway, or around your house and see more money than what’s in your bank account, you’re not rich — you’re a poor fool with expensive taste.

Ships don’t sink because they’re surrounded by water. They sink when they let water in. Same with you. Keep that drama, doubt, and nonsense outside your hull.

Good leaders fix problems. Great leaders fix what causes them. Fix the root. Set clear expectations. Build a system that doesn’t need saving.

Nothing will ruin your day, your mood, and your blood pressure faster than arguing with your own thoughts. Relax—some things are above your pay grade.

Waiting for the ‘perfect moment’ is a guaranteed strikeout. If you don’t swing, you’ll never hit a home run.

Walked into my office this morning saw my old bunker coat nameplate and dog tags from Comfort Fire Dept. The department—and so many others—have been working nonstop in the flood recovery. I have deep respect for everyone out there doing the hard, emotional work. Thank you.

One of the most powerful things you can do is a simple favor for someone. It costs nothing, but it could mean everything. What goes around comes around—in a good way.
