The Outer Hebrides is breathtakingly beautiful, snd Sunday means Sunday on Lewis, a throwback of all throwbacks. And Away…

Found some spots, and possibly the greatest two benches imaginable today, the outer Hebrides are truly magical. And the swim afterwards was so cold, it warmed the soul #lewis

18 hours of daylight in the Outer Hebrides….never waste the daylight, ever

Well, the most remote club in the Outer Hebrides, Ness FC, play in Harris and Lewis League. Met Lewis, plays centre half, and looks after the pitch with his Dad. Play April - October, all 7pm KO’s, no floodlights, but said they could still play at 11pm. What a good young man

Met a man, in a gallery, and I said I’d love to meet the person who seemed to have built benches in the most spectacular places on the Lewis Costal Path and crofts. He looked up and said “I did”, all 15 of them. Not enough time to find them all, this time. The simple things..

And I think DJ “Saggy” Smith has written the greatest few paragraphs on what can only be the joyous LAVA Cup. His description of his own tackle is simply beautiful, and I’d suggest he’s quite a character, rejoice

Time to head home, if the boat sails.. Impossible to express what the Outer Hebrides does to you, but it does something alright. And in my entire time on the islands, I’ve not seen one piece of litter, not one. That probably says it all. And Away…..
