Last week, we went to a remembrance event for the women who have died due to domestic violence held by our grassroots partner Sikh Womens Aid🕯️We stand in solidarity and action with our sisters, honouring the lives of those killed by gender-based violence.

Our thoughts are with the 48,800 women and girls worldwide who lost their lives to horrific gender-based violence in 2022. For every woman who fears for their safety, we continue to push on those in power, to deliver a safer and more equal world for women and girls EVERYWHERE.

We’re horrified to see anti-immigration and far right riots across the country targeting minoritised groups and accommodation of those seeking asylum. Everyone who has been forced to flee their home in search of safety should be met with dignity and compassion.

There is no place for racism, Islamophobia and violence in our communities.

On 7th August 2024, we launched the Sikh Women's Resilience Exhibition and Book at Lightwood House, Smethwick, celebrating South Asian Heritage Month. Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund This project amplifies the voices of 21 Sikh women across four decades. 📸⬇️
