Talking with some players today. Talking about pressure. What is pressure? Why do you have pressure? Anxiety? You know what pressure is……imagination. It’s in ur head. Pressure is an imagination that’s all. Let go, have fun & remember it’s a game. Love the game it loves you back

Truth. The talent separation line gets very thin. The separator then becomes who can control the 6" or so between the ears. Adjust physically and mentally, game by game, inning by inning, out by out, and pitch by pitch.

Next game, next inning, next AB, next pitch. All opportunities to learn and use that knowledge to grow, adapt and overcome previous bad performances. No such thing as perfection, embrace the imperfections as avenues to improve.

There are no shortcuts to success. The only real secret is to be consistent with the actions that will help you improve. It’s hard- we are wired to avoid pain & discomfort, and there are SO MANY distractions 📲📺 I keep reminding myself: it doesn’t get easier, we get better.

Baseball is a game of failure. You’re going to strike out. You’re going to make errors. You’re going to fall short—a lot. But the ones who make it? They learn. They adjust. They refuse to quit. Failure doesn’t break them. It builds them. 💯 #BaseballMentality | #KeepGoing |

As an athlete, you need to take practices equally as serious as games. If you don’t, you’ll be outperformed by the athletes who do.

Talent is what you're born with. Skill is what you acquire through practice. Even if you lack natural talent, you can still succeed as an athlete by mastering your skills!
