Excited to share our most recent paper at Cell in which we used #CryoEM to study conformational dynamics as a determinant of drug selectivity and resistance for the herpes simplex virus DNA polymerase. cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

Sharing a piece on Triple E🦟. I am fascinated by this deadly virus so we do a lot of work on it in the lab. It's quite a nasty bug - for those who live in regions with activity, need to take appropriate precautions re: mosquitoes. Harvard Micro hms.harvard.edu/news/deadly-ea…

I love being in science. Cafe employee I know well said she had pain and wanted some ibuprofen. I offered to run up to the lab and get some. But as I turned to leave another guy whips out a 50mL conical tube full of em and offers her some! I need to use lab ware more effectively

The crazy part is, if we found the mRNA vaccines to STILL be expressing spike years later that would be a huge win for the platform. A lot of research has gone into achieving durable expression to prolong humoral development. Years-long in vivo stability would be surprising tho

NIH indirect costs fund the backbone of research: maintaining labs, ensuring safety, and supporting admin work. These are essential for groundbreaking discoveries. Drastic cuts to NIH indirect rates are detrimental to academic biomedical research.
