Mabel Mudge is a legend. She acquired the Drewe Arms licence in 1919 with her husband Ernest. Ernest died in 1951 so Mabel carried on alone as landlady until 1994, when at 99 years old she finally retired! Mabel holds the record for the UK's longest-serving landlady! #pubs #devon
