As part of a long-term creek restoration in Duke Forest, local freshwater mussels are being reintroduced to New Hope Creek. N.C. Wildlife biologists led Nicholas School MEM students in acclimating and relocating 1,000 Notched rainbow mussels (Villosa constricta) to their new home.
