New article from Elrod Lab in Nature Metabolism reveals that TMEM65 is crucial for NCLX-dependent mitochondrial calcium efflux. Loss of TMEM65 leads to calcium overload, cell death, and organ dysfunction, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. nature.com/articles/s4225…
