Amazing work from my lab mate Taryn Olivas! Taryn employs a combination of powerful biochemical techniques - membrane fractionation and styrene maleic acid extraction - to directly demonstrate that ATG9A and LC3B reside on the same membrane. Congratulations Taryn and fellow authors!
New transatlantic preprint🥳! A sensor-modulator subunit directly regulates the Atg1 kinase complex during phosphate starvation-induced #autophagy. Wonderful work from Angelina Gross and colleagues: biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…
Truly excited that our collaboration with Cantley Lab and YaffeLab, led by the mighty Jared Johnson and the unstoppable Tomer M. Yaron-Barir, to map substrate motifs for the Ser/Thr kinome is now out! Literally a project that spanned decades. nature.com/articles/s4158…
Congratulations to my fantastic lab mate, Taryn Olivas! This compelling study beautifully demonstrates the residence of the sole transmembrane protein in the core autophagy machinery, ATG9A, on both progenitor vesicles and autophagosome membranes.
Check out this fantastic work from my lab mate, Justin Korfhage Justin Korfhage! Justin demonstrates that ATG2A is capable of transporting lipids between phospholipid monolayers and bilayers and demonstrates that this activity is necessary for efficient lipid droplet regulation.
