On April 27, Virginia Tech Football’s Lucas Austin, Kyle Altuner & Tomas Rimac appeared at Special Olympics Virginia SW Regional Spring Games. The guys assisted with Opening Ceremonies, cheered for participants, and brought great energy! Congrats to SpecialOlympicsVA-SW athletes who qualified for state games!

On May 22, we were honored to take part in the annual Delta Dental of VA Pro-Am for Kids to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of SWVA. Virginia Tech Men's Golf’s Ashton Harper coached Club kids who participated in ceremonial tee shots in support of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia’s vital mission for local children.

Last night, Virginia Tech Football’s Johnny Garrett & Deric Dandy joined SpecialOlympicsVA-SW for Area 9’s Walking Club at Huckleberry Park in Christiansburg. Walking Club pairs individuals with & without intellectual disabilities to enjoy exercising together. Join the club on Mondays at 6:30!
