Red Sox pitcher Hunter Dobbins is scheduled to throw a rehab start this weekend in Portland, I’m told. Dobbins has been on the IL since June 21st with an elbow strain.

The only thing hotter than the weather out at Bombers Stadium was the bat of Wesley Scott as he powered the Brazos Valley Bombers to victory. The only player who maybe had as hot a night as Scott's bat was reliever Brennan Greer who earned the win. theeagle.com/sports/local/a…

There’s a real possibility that if he wanted to, Centerville head baseball coach Demond Denman could probably run for mayor in town and win. He’s just simply that likable. Here’s our story on how he became the most likable guy in town. theeagle.com/sports/high-sc…

Putting together a story on all the Brazos Valley guys that are in this year's NCAA video game and I need to find the video of this fake punt by Jayden Williams.

Last year, the Brazos Valley had 19 players in NCAA 25 on release day. This year, they have 18 players in NCAA 26 on release day. Here’s who's in the game. theeagle.com/sports/high-sc…

The highest rated overall guy from the Brazos Valley is former Franklin RB Bryson Washington at 90 overall. The highest rated overall player from Bryan-College Station is former College Station TE Houston Thomas at 80 overall.

Just pure guessing here but Fireman’s Park in Brenham and Mumford’s Cotton Palace would probably be on the list for 2026, right? Navasota?

Between Merrill Green Stadium's new turf and the bevy of construction projects at College Station and Consol, it's been a busy summer. Here's the latest on the Bryan ISD & College Station ISD renovations: theeagle.com/sports/high-sc…

Also really curious if the turf fields at College Station ISD change anything schedule-wise for the teams in nondistrict. Both softball teams have the Leadoff Classic but you wonder if either baseball team would think about trying to host a tournament with turf now.

Jake Weese We will be co-hosting a Week 1 varsity tournament with CSHS and hosting our own Week 3 varsity tournament. In addition, we will host a Week 2 JV tournament, and CSHS will host a Week 3 Soph tournament. Way more home games and more time in class for our athletes!
