Ecchordosis Physaliphora, a hamartomatous lesion of notochord remnants. IHC identical to chordoma. Unlike chordoma it 1) Benign 2) No growth potential 3) No lobular architecture #pathx #pathtwitter #neuropath #neuropathology #cnspathology

Ironclad: hepatic hemochromatosis Coarse golden-brown iron granules (initially Zone 1 hepatocytes if primary/HH) ±hepatocyte damage. Periportal fibrosis (bridging) > micronodular cirrhosis (seen on low power) Iron should usually be confirmed w/ Prussian blue stain. #PathTwitter

A middle-aged female patient with a brain lesion, known to be medically free. In this case, what should be our initial thoughts? And what is the top differential diagnosis? #PathTwitter #Neuropath (1)

Metaplastic transformation of a #glioblastoma is relatively uncommon, but when it happens it's striking. Like this case, where the #GBM is transforming into bone. #pathology #neuropath #pathtwitter
