“Commencements” & Practical completion” numbers were erroneously & deliberately included in pre-election statements re housing delivery from govt. Not only did these figures suit govt. narrative, they also help developers avoid vacant site levies. #LiesDamnedLiesAndStatistics

The 40k housing figure used by government party spokespeople up to November was inaccurate. The data was there for them, they knew this, they clearly misled the public.
