Innovation Diploma G9 Maker, Art, + Design played the surrealist game Exquisite Corpse today, created by artist André Breton to encourage collaboration, imagination, and laughter. Such a perfect and fun way to kick off this foundational course! #creativeclassroom

On the 4th day of school the design pros from Resource Branding taught our Innovation Diploma grade 9s about designing for a client in a 2 hr sprint! Thank you Jae Robbins and the Resource team for an engaging morning.

On the 3rd day of school Mount Vernon School , this Design Brief toured Chick-fil-A HQ and saw human-centered design in action at The Hatch. Excursions like this give legitimacy to the two years of preparation students have done to be ready to lead real work. Innovation Diploma #impactready

Grade 10 iD students will head to the State Bar Association this week during their study of Language, Proof, and Logic. Meanwhile in biomimicry they are learning how to leverage nature’s designs to solve problems. #mocktrial #biomimicrydesignchallenge

We trust 16 - 18 yr olds to wrestle with ambiguous complex work w/ little oversight because of the training/relationships/expectations poured in since G9. They respond because they know the stakes & care deeply. I sat in awe w Google execs as this team exceeded all expectations.

This mod, our Innovation Diploma design brief students are diving into the future of entertainment! One group visited Reach Records today to learn all about music production and the role social media plays in the industry. The trip was student led, facilitated, and a big success! #ibl
