I will never understand the need to post the most personal things on social media. Especially folks with large follower counts - with majority of folks following being strangers. I miss the concept of privacy. Did social media culture steal privacy?

There needs to be a support group for introverts who ended up with a career that is public facing. I often think about why I didn’t keep working on archives. I would be in a basement closet sorting thru collections alone for hours. Good times.

When I was pregnant with my son I would rub my belly and pray that God gifted me with an artist. I would read James Baldwin to him when he was an infant, played Duke Ellington at bedtime. He is now a brilliant artist: Jazz musician, writer and actor. Love it for the world.

I don’t get into the ā€œno new friendsā€ thing. I made 2 new friends in 2024 and they are so brilliant and fun and life-giving.

We don’t have to always be fixing ourselves or on a never-ending goal list. We don’t have to keep attempting perfection or validation from anything/anyone. You can live and enjoy and know you are enough right now.

Yes! I’ve been saying this for about 8 months. It’s so difficult to be even attempting work/projects. So glad it’s not just me.

2024 was a vibe for me. No complaints. I navigated it with the practice of rest and boundaries and ease. I centered my pleasure and care. I had many lovely adventures. Kissed, hugged, smiled, danced, cuddled. I traveled thru out the South and cried a lot (I love crying).

I had a dream every social media site was turned off for a year. Things felt calm. I really think this concept would be the start of an amazing horror film.
