2T have been swimming this term and have started to make some progress.  We are all learning to be more independent by getting dressed ourselves after swimming. Also enjoyed taking part in MFL day where they learnt about Spain.

2B have explored the human growth stages as part of PHSE lessons. They enjoyed looking after a baby - feeding, dressing, brushing hair and washing a newborn. The children have worked hard matching wooden people to the correct growth stage categories of child, teenager and adults.

3C had a visit from ‘Loud Mouth’ theater. The group uses drama with relevant, engaging content. We looked at cyber bullying and what issues it can cause. We learnt that 3/5 secondary school-aged children are contacted online in a way that potentially made them feel uncomfortable!

This week 2D have been to the allotment first time this year. A lovely afternoon down there, but a little too hot. We Planted seeds, Watered the plants, played with our friends and had some fun.

3F were involved in an art project, the children created collages. That were put on display at the MAC in Cannon Hill Park. They looked at the work created by other schools as well as their work on display. They took part in a crafting workshop and created face masks

3B have enjoyed a cooler week this week. We have created our own paper maché volcano 🌋 and visited Tesco’s and the park on Wednesday as we continue to develop our independence skills.

3W were on a Geography field trip this week. We went to Sutton Park and identified various plants, trees and animals. We also tried our hand at pond dipping, and had a picnic lunch. We also had rather a tame squirrel come pay us a visit!

3R have learnt about Adam Gemili as part of Sports Week. We researched LOADS about him and created our own poems about him. We think they sound amazing!

Green Group we read The Odd Fish and creating themed crafts. Food Technology, we explored grating ingredients to make different foods. Science, we learned about different types of weather, how to dress and to stay safe. Take a look at our stained glass window display for MFL day.

4W have been enterprising this week. They decided to offer Car Wash services to staff, washing a total of 20 vehicles and making over £100. This will now go towards their school trip to Pizza Hut. Well done all!

4B have been working on their GCSE Art Portfolios. They have been researching various artists based on themes they have chosen. It’s great to see such a wide range of interests and abilities within this group. We have also been learning about how to annotate our work

4H enjoyed their reward trip to Bounce Mania and Pizza Hut. We had lots of fun bouncing on the inflatables and going down the slides and then indulged in an all you can eat buffet, salad, pizzas and ice cream! It’s our last trip together as we move onto our new colleges.

This afternoon we celebrate our Year 9 pupils who have been awarded their Bronze Award for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award alongside their parents. We are incredibly proud of their achievements over the academic year!

Butterflies have been learning all about the seaside! We enjoyed sand and water play and enjoyed eating ice cream and ice lollies! We enjoyed our end of year trip to SNAP with Caterpillars; we had lots of fun playing inside and outside before visiting McDonalds for our lunch.

This term 1H were On Safari. We explored the book 'Dear Zoo' in our lessons and even saw some real life safari animals at West Midlands Safari Park.

This week 1W enjoyed a Teddybear's Picnic in class. We then got an ice cream from McDonalds and went to the playground. What a lovely afternoon!

This half term our topic is ‘At the seaside’. Caterpillars have had lots of fun making ice-lollies, splashing in the paddling pool and playing in our ice-cream parlour role play area. We have completed lots of seaside crafts and sensory activities.

1F have enjoyed a trip to Spencer’s Retreat Farm as an end of year trip. Everyone had a great time, even though it was very hot. We cooled down in the paddling pool when we got back.

2R had a fantastic time choosing 2 books to take home and keep as a part of the book project. All of the children were very excited to take their books homes.
