This week #ASqn Queen's Own Yeomanry hosted senior leaders from the Office for Veterans' Affairs to help explain life as a reservist and to share thoughts on making a successful transition. We might have tried a bit of recruiting too…!



The Queen’s Own Yeomanry Queen's Own Yeomanry is a Light Cavalry regiment in the Army Reserve. As a light armoured reconnaissance unit, its role involves operating in front of other friendly forces to gather intelligence on the enemy and the environment.

Last weekend #ASqn were formally presented with a beautiful sculpture of a Yorkshire Hussar by the family of one of our forebears. Trustees, serving, old comrades and Colonel Sean all came together to thank them for their kindness, and to share our proud history. #forrard!

B Squadron The Royal Lancers have deployed to Salisbury Plain on exercise. They are using Warrior to conduct armoured reconnaissance training. Soldiers have been tested in navigation, contact drills, communications and a range of mounted tactical actions.
