Would you rather 'Go Glamping' or 'Get a Travel Lodge'? A multi £million negative advertising campaign being run by Britains largest budget hotel chain says Glamping Holidays are miserable and you would do far better staying at a travel lodge. What do you think? Travelodge UK

A new bus route for the Lake District this summer is weekend only route 509 Keswick to Penrith via Aira Force and Lowther Castle as well as some journeys to Patterdale. A lovely route. Well done to the community led “Ullswater Bus” for arranging it.

Rethinking Lake District transport: Community buses in Ullswater. Frustrated by a lack of sustainable transport in the valley, communities in Ullswater started their own bus service. Two years on, it's thriving. The Quiet Site - Outdoor Accommodation R us..! Friends of Ullswater hefted.substack.com/p/rethinking-l…

The spread of bracken is relentless Anybody think it’s positive to have whole valleys taken over by it ? The flowers, grasses and young trees are smothered or shaded, paths are overgrown and the build up of dead thatch must be a fire risk? Only trees present are old ones
