New: Uber is piloting a new offering in the US (LA, SF, Detroit) that will match female riders and drivers, expanding access to a safety feature it already offers in some intl markets. There will be a new "Women Drivers" ride type on top of UberX, XL etc bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

This makes it seem like the fee goes straight to the government like a tax which is not true. It goes to ubers insurance reserves which is opaque at best. Uber also sends drivers ride requests while they're driving 45 mph down the road which is extremely unsafe but I'm sure
