Thanks to the prompt response from Mersey Fire the small fire in the sand dunes of our Ainsdale NNR has been put out. The #NNR team spent the weekend working alongside the fire crews checking for hotspots and making them safe. be careful not just at this site, but all sites.

Work is underway today on the navigation marker at Lifeboat Road. The triangle top is corroded and will be dismantled for safety reasons. A new triangle will be made and the navigation marker restored in a later phase of work.
