People talk about IP's as if they must always explore every avenue. I'm here to tell you they do not. IP's can remain stagnant, with little to no change, and be perfectly viable.

It is a pet peeve of mine that animation is considered an inferior medium among much of the general public, which is, I suspect, one of the reasons Disney is remaking thee (setting aside their lack of creativity and dwindling finances).

Unrelated OP: the animosity between Lady Eboshi and San is the best written dynamic between two opposing forces in all of modern media. Nothing comes close to the depth these characters have and the forces they represent. I'll probably write a longer post about them eventually.
