This was the surprise solar storm of 2024-OCT-08. I didn’t expect to see much from my mid-latitude location, but it really exploded for a while. Wait for it ! This full time-lapse runs from midnight to 4:30am. 6 second picture interval. Enjoy!

Oh my, it has happened once again. Caught the tail end of this solar storm and it was quite a finale! Mother Nature once again made a pretty. Here is a teaser still shot out of the 4 cameras I was running. We got angles. This one was pointed straight up, straight up.
