Delighted to have had an opportunity to visit the Honan Chapel in UCC Ireland this weekend and explore the exceptional artistry and craft work of Clarke, Purser, Reeves, Stuart, and many others from the Irish Arts & Crafts period and beyond. An extraordinary gem.

Our warmest congratulations to Ella Sloane, who was the inaugural speaker to our 'Early Researcher's Platform' at the 2024 Symposium, with a wonderfully insightful paper: ”The education of the work-girls”: evaluating Dún Emer’s educational objective.👏👏👏 Ella Sloane

Very much looking forward to dipping into this work over the coming weeks. Congratulations to Four Courts Press and Róisín Kennedy on a beautiful publication.

Lovely evening at the Friends of National Gallery of Ireland showing of the Red Shoe Productions & Imelda May beautiful documentary: 'Lily & Lolly: the forgotten Yeats Sisters.' 👏👏👏 Note for Diary: Our annual symposium will be 12th July 2025.

How wonderful to see Elizabeth's work (& Hyde's poem) celebrated on this year's Dublin City Council Christmas card. So grateful to all concerned for reconnecting with this Cuala work, which is part of DCLA Reading Room Yeats archive, and for bringing it to a wider public audience.

Why halos and headscarves were winners for Cuala's artists. Associating Christianity and Catholicism with Irishness was a mark of distinctiveness for the Irish Free State in its early years, write billy shortall & Angela Griffith Trinity Irish Art Research Centre (TRIARC) Trinity College Dublin rte.ie/brainstorm/202…
