Looking forward to Lewisham Council posting about retaining last place, dropping further down the list and, in fact, its streets getting less healthy. Six years into their fanfare ‘Climate Emergency’ declaration and 2 years into its ‘Sustainable Streets’ programme.

Every day for YEARS. It is the same people dumping the same stuff, in the same place up and down the high street. This is not a difficult problem to solve but Lewisham Council are incapable. Maximum fines every day for a week and they will stop doing it.

How about making it easier and cheaper for people to take the train? The government is prioritising a further subsidy for motorists who can afford an EV while cutting rail investment and 'pausing' electrification projects. Double standards, Heidi. In what will be a surprise to absolutely no one, two of the filthy butchers on Lewisham High Street are named and shamed. Poor produce, zero hygiene and constant flytipping - why does Lewisham Council and Lewisham Labour put up with it? newsshopper.co.uk/news/25301981.…

Shows how out of touch lewisham politicians are (all of them) with majority of their voter base that these kinds of pathetic local feuds seem to be their priority. Lewisham’s streets are filthy & riddled with Anti Social Behaviour yet this kind of thing seem to be the priority.

We’ve been asking Lewisham to stop to pavement parking outside the Sandhurst/Sangley shops, and they have now delivered planters. This should make a huge difference. And our volunteers leaped into action today to spruce them up with various donated plants and bags of compost.

Fair play to Lewisham Council - looks like they have got the contractor to rip out those abysmal planting attempts and start over. Looked shocking and right decision.

Outright ban taxis to schools. Immediately. Mandate that councils must offer bus only transport or personal travel budget capped at cost of bus. Give councils choice what to offer. Parents need to take responsibility.
