The theme, "Promoting Gender-Inclusive Mining Governance for Sustainable and Equitable Development in Zimbabwe," highlights that mining is more than just minerals and revenue — it's about people and power.

Margaret Chogugudza from Rural Young Women Support Network bemoaned some of the challenges women in artisanal mining face and this includes limited access to resources, health and safety risks, GBV, cultural stereotypes and gender roles as well as environmental and health risks.

Nine-year-old Kudzaiishe, born with bowed legs, comforts her mom before surgery. Her condition caused pain and limited play, but hope came from CURE Children's Hospital of Zimbabwe, offering surgery at no cost to her family. #CUREkids #Helpkidsheal
