to further articulate this point. there’s a specific way that the “industrial” side of dance music establishes relationships between producers and communities which, to me, is indicative of the enduring extractive logics of colonialism and imperialism

and we have to challenge those logics. though strategically, I’m not quite sure which “we” I’m talking about here and how they might realistically to pose these challenges
