Interesting intervention from Andy Burnham. While changes to PIP don’t impact on disabled Scots directly as Scottish Government will NOT change to ADP, this will still have severe consequences on our future budgets. And still no word from Scottish Labour and Anas Sarwar.

NEW: Liz Kendall has told MPs that if a disabled person currently on PIP requests a reassessment after November 2026 because of worsening health, they will be assessed on the new criteria. This confirms The Guardian’s report those with fluctuating conditions won’t be protected.

Now only for new claimants. Still just as disgusting. Still driven by the desire to make “easy” cuts. I will be voting against the bill today to make clear disabled people matter and I recognise the additional costs of navigating a world built for neurotypical, healthy people.

It's quite something watching Labour MPs line up to talk about how devastating their own government's proposed changes to PIP criteria are.

Minister Timms intervened mid debate to announce he's pulling Clause 5 (PIP clause) from the Bill at Committee. So why are we still debating and voting? This isn't how we make legislation. Pull the Bill.

This is a complete mess. The government is promising new changes, new concessions, 90 minutes before MPs vote. None of this is written down. The Bill we are voting on tonight is unamended. This is an unacceptable way of making laws. Just pull the Bill.

The Universal Credit and PIP Bill had passed to the next stage UNAMENDED. Labour spin will talk about concessions, but the bill is as was, 4 point rule and all. Renfrewshire Labour MPs Alison S Taylor, MP - Paisley Renfrewshire North and Johanna Baxter MP voted it through. Vote Labour, get your benefits cut.

'Proud Trade Unionist' Johanna Baxter MP , voting for cuts that will force disabled workers out of work, and somehow blaming the SNP. They think people are zipped up the back.

Labour’s behaviour towards people with disabilities is appalling. The chaos that Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have presided over has shown total contempt for the vulnerable. And Anas Sarwar has supported them all the way. Westminster is failing. Scotland deserves better.

We’ve received a bye in round 1 of the Scottish Communities FA Cup, and will host Cumnock in round 2. This is the tournament previously known as The Scottish Junior Cup. The tie will be played on Saturday 20th September 2025
