Firstly, Harry & Rachel presented their brilliant work on gamifying medical student pharmacology teaching 💊

Sticking with the gamification theme, Abbie presented her work on introducing an antimicrobial stewardship escape room into our STR1DE FY1 teaching 🔐

And Abbey told us about using gamification to tackle “neurophobia” amongst medical students! 🧠

We then had Emma presenting her work on an Interprofessional Cardiac Arrest teaching day that’s been running this year 🫀

This morning, Ciara told us about her Referrals Bingo project, helping students better understand how to refer patients to colleagues 🗣️

And Hannah spoke about her innovative ophthalmology teaching she’s been running with Y3 students 👀

Rachel and Harry then presented SHUSH - Some Help Understanding Sexual Health - which has proved very popular with our Y4 students 🤫

They were immediately followed by back to back presentations by Kate, on “escaping the surgical intimidation game” and a theme spotting game to replace the traditional “chunk and check” method in undergraduate surgical teaching.

Finally today we heard from Hayley, talking about our STR2DE programme for FY2s, and about her “speak up speak out” initiative for final year medical students.
