Fungal genomes are 🤯🤯🤯 We wrote this review to summarise some lessons we learned in the last 20 years of fungal genomics. Excited to see where our field is going in the next 20 years to come! Thanks a lot to all co-authors YuSeng Huang Thorsten Langner and Sophia šŸ§µšŸ‘‡

Happy to contribute to this excellent story about heterochromatin role in centromere maintenance, led by Ben Carty ! Heterochrom. boundaries control centromere expansion, drift & number! Great usage of induced neocentromere model and modern epigenomics across the labs🄳

Here’s the major plot twist… AVRcap1b does not interact with resting-state NRCs but interacts specifically with the active form! It binds NRCs through a surface distinct from the NbTOL9a interface, suggesting it bridges these pathways to ā€œblockā€ immune signaling. 12/15
