Fungicide efficacy on tar spot and yield of corn in the Midwestern United States | Plant Health Progress. Nice work by Darcy Telenko leading us toward some solutions for tar spot fungicide management. Martin Chilvers @jillcheckMSU Tiffanna Ross, Ph.D. @EmRogge apsjournals.apsnet.org/doi/10.1094/PH…

Join us in celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth and uplifting Black Purdue researchers! Today we highlight Dieudonné Baributsa, an associate professor of entomology who is the principal investigator for the Purdue Agriculture's Purdue Improved Crop Storage project in Africa and Asia.

Many congratulations Dr Darcy Telenko Well deserved

Tiffanna Ross, Ph.D. Tiffanna, thank you for helping Boilermakers make every leap possible on #PurdueDayofGiving!

Was a great week at DELTA Corteva symposium. Got to collaborate and expand my network! Thank you Corteva agriculture Mariama Brown

Both the tar spot and southern corn rust maps have been updated for Indiana today. Keep scouting. Credit to Mariela Fernandez 🇨🇷 for the rust find. extension.purdue.edu/news/fieldcrop… Damon L. Smith Martin Chilvers Albert Tenuta Kiersten Wise Purdue Extension

Curious about double cropping sunflowers? So are we Osler Ortez JJski Fulton OSU Extension, AgNR and Twitterless Horacio. Stay tuned! 🌻😎

Upon further inspection, SDS is starting to show up in some inoculated plots in Ohio. Incidence is low, but if you have a history of soybean #SuddenDeathSyndrome, it might be time to scout! Thankful for a helpful team today! Tiffanna Ross, Ph.D. and #twitterless Maeve and Annika

When u and ur mentor always being featured in the school magazine. We probably got that scientist look and doing great work lol. #PlantDoctors #Tarspotofcornepidemic #Envision2022 #PurdueExtension Darcy Telenko @ohiomycete Mariama Brown

Our tar spot survey in IN has begun. Adding a number of counties today, many with only a few spots vs. some pockets with more disease. Weather is a big factor on where tar spot is appearing....moisture is key. @waibelkaitlin @sroccocamila Monica Mizuno Purdue Extension Indiana Corn Growers Association

Darcy Telenko & colleagues compared fungicides commonly used for foliar disease management in U.S. corn production to gauge efficacy against tar spot. 🔓 for a limited time: doi.org/10.1094/PHP-10… @ILplantdoc Martin Chilvers @jillcheckMSU @EmRogge Tiffanna Ross, Ph.D. Damon L. Smith

Year 1 of Assistant Professor life is in the books. My official summary: "not what I expected." That includes many, many surprises, both good and bad... But my favorite part is the team I've started to build! I'm very proud of this group! OhioStatePlantPath 🤩🥳🌱🍄

Our manuscript investigating the ecominic return of foliar fungicides and timings for tar spot management in Indiana is now available as a first look in Plant Disease w/ Tiffanna Ross, Ph.D. Tom Allen Purdue Agriculture doi.org/10.1094/PDIS-0…

"...foliar fungicides and appropriately timed #fungicide applications can profitably be used to manage tar spot in #Indiana under high disease severity conditions." Research to keep in mind for 2024 tar spot management. From the Plant Disease article at
