We should “approach with love” the persecution, imprisonment, and murder of LGBTQ+ people for just existing? How is it reasonable to claim people being oppressed and killed should respond politely? Do your feelings matter more than our lives?

I grow tired of ppl telling me what advocacy I have time and space for. I center Black ppl in all the work that I do and none of that goes away if I extend my advocacy to other groups—especially other groups that contain Black ppl. Black people aren’t only American and straight.

Creatives have every right to be compensated for what they create—especially if companies and millionaires are taking what they produce for their own financial gain. Creatives do not have to accept “exposure” and vibes in lieu of compensation, credit, and tangible gains.
