Built for the future!   The Tigers and PAWS visited Detroit Edison Public School Academy ahead of Opening Day in Detroit. Fourth grade students participated in a wiffle ball game and an art competition and were surprised with tickets to the Tigers game on Sunday.

Indians 10U Baseball Club from Beverly Hills, Michigan got to take the field at Comerica Park today and get player autographs before the Tigers game!

It was a beautiful weekend for a Pennington Lawn field cleanup!   Members of the Tigers front office were joined by Rosedale Grandmont Baseball League and Detroit Nike Community Store staff to beautify Stoepel Park on Saturday.

In honor of Jackie Robinson Day, the Tigers hosted a "Breaking Barriers" panel for local high school athletes. They heard from industry professionals about their work in sports and how inspirational individuals, like Jackie Robinson, impacted them personally and professionally!

First Responder Fridays, created by A.J. and Erin Hinch, celebrates those who keep our community safe! Each Friday home game, a first responder and their loved ones will be invited to enjoy a night of Tigers baseball surrounded by a community that appreciates their service.

Tonight we honored Firefighter Justin Worthy from Engine 1, for First Responders Friday!   FF Worthy, whose father is a retired Detroit firefighter, has been with the Detroit Fire Department for 8 years and was selected for his great attitude and outstanding work ethic.

Yesterday, Comerica Park welcomed USA Baseball for a Community Coaches Clinic!    Supported by the MLB Players Alumni Association, these clinics are an integral part of continuing education for coaches, covering topics like hitting, fielding, practice planning, drills & throwing.
