UAE-EST Business Council are doing the important job of bringing our countries businesses closer together. Met in Sharjah's cultural hub House of Wisdom for a lenghty discussion with Business Council's co-chairman and CEO of Sharjah's FDI office H.E. Mohamed Al Musharrakh.

Sustainable energy, recycling, green environment digitalization and using tech to improve our standard of life is all part of the same cycle. AUE's BEAAH Group is a perfect example of this. It was my pleasure to meet H.E. Khaled Issa Al Huraimel and his wonderful colleagues.

Good panel, intersting discussion! Interesting to hear and learn from others. What I told from our side: 🇪🇪Estonia aims to be an AI superuser. Meaning we will be the early adopters. This will be an important building stone of the post-digital personalized state.

Had the honour to visit Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority of the KSA🇸🇦. Digital identity is the basis of the e-tax system. Based on data, proactive services are the next step. KSA and Zakat have adapted the best practice and I'm impressed to see how they're developing it further.

🔉WEF main stage: Competitiveness in the Age of Intelligent Economies. Really loved Mr Riz Khan's joke in the end. Moral of the story: there's always room in the market, you just have to be clever.

Honoured to meet 🇸🇦KSA minister of communications and IT عبدالله عامر السواحهAbdullah Alswaha for the second time on WEF. We have a lot to learn from each other and a good road ahead. Looking forward to strenghten the ties between our digital societies and enterprises.

To wind back a bit: Monday. 🇸🇦🇪🇪I was honoured to attend the signing of a MoU between The Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Enterprise Estonia. Also had a chat with H.E. Hassan Al Huwaizi, Chairman of the Chambers about opportunities working together has to offer.

On Monday I met HE Dr Munir Eldesouki and his colleagues. Was introduced to the research and science at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). It was impressive. Discussed mutual R&D and working together between EST and KSA enterprises and institutions.

🚀ESA BIC has done great work over the years to launch new #space technology startups. It has opened many doors for Estonian startups also by offering access to European Space Agency expertise and hands-on business development support. I was glad to open the ESA BIC network event in Tartu today.

Thanks to Estonia in Finland for hosting a roundtable between Finnish 🇫🇮 and Estonian 🇪🇪 companies about collaboration in the logistics and transportation sectors. Innovative IT solutions are the key for growing further and for the ease of doing business.
