Heading into the weekend, take advantage of Saturday. It will be beautiful! Mom may not like this, but showers are becoming more likely for Sunday afternoon. Monday and Tuesday looking quite wet. We could pick up 2-3 inches of rain between Sun PM and Tuesday.

Seems that a lot of people felt some shaking here in NC. There was a 3.5 quake at the Tenn border just after 9am. That’s not usually strong enough to be felt around here, but this one seems to have traveled well!

-This is considered a fairly strong earthquake for this region. -Likely some minor damage occurred closer to the epicenter. -The last larger earthquake in this region was in 2020, when a 5.1 occurred in Sparta, N.C.

Here's where the earthquake happened this morning. Not far Knoxville and Gatlinburg. 4.1 is sizeable! It was certainly felt even over here in the Piedmont of North Carolina. wfmynews2.com/article/news/l…
