Very glad to present our work on impact-based forecasting and early/anticipatory action at #EGU23. We showed how ECMWF SEAS5 forecasts can be used in the region to reduce #drought impacts.

Only 2-days since #EGU23 ended, and I'm already nostalgic for the amazing PICOs, inspiring talks, and engaging posters... but most of all for the incredible new/old researchers/friends. Always great to be "contaminated" by our passion for studying #drought #floods #multihazards

#EGU24, where should I start. I am so grateful to have spent a week with so many inspiring people, including my amazing IVM - VU Amsterdam colleagues! Feeling honored to have received the #OSPP award from EGU Hydrology, and to have presented our work on food security forecasting in East Africa.

IVM - VU Amsterdam Water & Climate Risk department day! We explored the interesting Waterloopbos & the beautiful city of Hasselt. We played the carillon, found the local streetart, and had drinks & dinner at a windmill. We had a lot of fun together! #HappyColleagues 😍
