UHI has seen a significant decrease in student numbers - more than 6,000 in one year. It’s important this doesn’t become a trend as UHI is important for both rural education and the rural economy. I’ll be taking this up with the Cabinet Secretary to ensure UHI receives support.

Access to cash in Lochmaddy is vital and I’m keen to challenge LINK to provide a new cashpoint. I have drafted a letter to LINK and ask residents to add their name to it. I’ll also be hosting a public meeting on Thursday 28th August at the Lochmaddy Village Hall at 10am.
