One of the joys of #GatheringEagles22 & previous conferences is getting to meet #EMSFellows, the future of our subspecialty. 81 fellows matched to 70 program in 2021. I don't know the male-female breakdown, but certainly Timothy Hong (he/him) is outnumbered here! What a great looking group!

.Timothy Hong (he/him) is discussing providing culturally competent care in the prehospital setting as our subspecialty continues to advance in the field of #DEI, focusing on health disparities, evidence-based practice, & recommendations to promote equity, safety, & inclusion. #NAEMSP2023

.Timothy Hong (he/him) asks which direction #EMS should head in the area of #LGBTQ research? Answer: "Literally any..." Given minimal to no research in this field, anything is better than what we currently have. Certainly a large opportunity for improvement in #EMS. #NAEMSP2023

This was an amazing eye-opening talk given at #NAEMSP2023 by Timothy Hong (he/him). Definitely one of my favorites from the annual meeting. 10/10 recommend this to start important conversations at your #EMS agency regarding fostering an inclusive environment for the LGBTQ community.

It's Pride Month, and we recently made Timothy Hong (he/him)'s #NAEMSP2023 session, which focuses on caring for LGBTQ patients and highlights major research gaps for LGBTQ+ representation in the EMS workforce, available for free via Prodigy EMS. Watch it now: link.prodigyems.com/LGBTQ
