When your collective heart from all of us tmuk is bursting with pride for the remarkable job our Aaron did of representing TMUK, children from Liverpool, and children of prisoners from across the globe! Fighting negative rhetorics and stigma! Pride is an understatement! ❤️

Today our research focus is all about children’s experiences of witnessing the arrest of a parent. Not an easy topic but such an important one. Amazing to also be working with the police who are keen to improve outcomes for children @LJMUImpact Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership LJMU APSS

Can policy makers, practitioners, and leaders please STOP saying that we have to help children impacted by parental imprisonment to prevent them becoming offenders themselves. No!!! There is no research evidence that parental offending causes a child to go on to offend.
