The Mental Health Clinic in Nyakach is currently underway! Participants are engaging in a mental health information session, gaining insights into the meaning of mental health, common signs and symptoms, different types of mental health conditions, and where and how to seek help.

We’ll join partners at Obunga Grounds, Kisumu to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse. The 2025 theme, "Breaking the Chains: Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery for All!", calls for compassion, awareness, and inclusive recovery efforts. #IDADA2025

As part of the monitoring visit, our partners CBM UK and Basic Needs Kenya visited Fanaka Women and Wetland Mothers—two of our support groups under the Basic Needs Model Project—to see how community-based support is transforming lives through mental health and livelihoods.

In today's monitoring visit, our partner CBM UK visited a project participant from the Great Women Support Group, who has started a grocery stall through the VSLA component of the Basic Needs Model Project—an inspiring step towards economic empowerment.

We conducted the third session at Sigoti Girls High School, under the Shamiri Character Strength Based Intervention. The focus was on gratitude, encouraging students to appreciate the positives in their lives to boost mental well-being & resilience.Shamiri Institute #gratitude

Six of our support groups under the Basic Needs Model Project were awarded seed grants during the Year 2 culmination ceremony. As part of the project's livelihoods component, the grants aim to support them in starting income-generating ventures and fostering self-reliance.
