Yesterday on a bay of glass, we were fortunate to catch some of our local mantas (Mobula alfredi) and a large school of ‘ōpelu (Decapterus macarellus) feasting upon the abundant plankton.

I've stayed mum through #FreshVsSaltyFish so far, but on today's theme of #beauty, I feel compelled to throw up these gorgeous Hawaiian endemics. Chaetodon tinkeri (1) and Pseudanthias hawaiiensis (2,3) are residents of deeper reefs >30m depth and are absolute stunners.
